　　On January 16, the tourist promotion meeting is held in Haikou. The delegation that consisted of more than 30 Philippine traveling salesmen started to have a five-day investigation in Hainan, which involves Haikou, Sanya and so on.

　　On December 29, 2018, Philippine Airlines’ flight 2P2328 took off from Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, which marked the airline from Haikou to Manila was offcially resumed. It is expected that this airline would bring 10,000 Philippine tourists to Haikou.

　　As one of the tourist source countries, Philippines has the big market potential, more and more Philippine travel agencies focused on Hainan’s tourism market and sent their tourists to Hainan. Philippine overseas Chinese also pay attention to Hainan’s development and want to come back to Hainan for visiting their families, friends and experiencing local customs.

　　At the promotion meeting, Haikou’s tourism resources such as the world’s largest Volcanic Rock Golf Course, Chinese best-preserved Arcaded Old Streets and various local delicacies were introduced to the delegation team. “Haikou’s natural scenery and customs are very attractive, we will introduce Haikou to Philippine, and we want to have more cooperation with Haikou’s tourism and design more tourism products .” said Angelita Dy, deputy of delegation.

　　According to the Haikou Tourism Development Board, for Haikou’s further development, they would organize Haikou’s tourism companies to have the tourism promotion in Philippines and explore Philippine market for attracting more Philippine tourists to Haikou.
